Nice to meet you,

Jess, a pregnancy and postnatal yoga specialist in Ryedale, sits looking at the camera and smiling

I’m Jess.

Being pregnant and navigating the early days of motherhood can be an emotional rollercoaster.

I have been supporting women through their pregnancy and postnatal journey for over 4 years and have helped hundreds of women. With over 1000 hours of yoga training, including specialist pregnancy, postnatal and c-section recovery training, you’re in safe hands

I’ve been there and I’m glad you’ve found me because I’m here to help!

My mum friends were now in the thick of toddler tantrums and had quickly forgotten what it’s like to have a newborn. I was lonely.  On the one day a week when Zara was at nursery, I went to a few local baby classes; a baby massage course, a song and sensory class and a music class.

They were all great, but they were missing the one thing I was craving…connection.

Once the class ended, everyone left and went home.

I’m here to help support you as you navigate your way through the highs and lows of pregnancy and early motherhood, either for the first or subsequent time.

I love creating a community around my pregnancy yoga, birth preparation and mum + baby classes so you can meet and chat with other women who are experiencing the same or similar things with you.

When I was pregnant with Ruby (my youngest), we moved to a different area. As I had already been through pregnancy and labour once, we hadn’t been to any birth preparation classes and although I had been to a few pregnancy yoga classes, we were now living in a different place.

…I knew I wanted my classes to be different.

They are small and there’s always time either before or after class to chat over a brew and biscuits. Plus each class has a Whatsapp group so you can ask questions, share recommendations and arrange meet-ups.

I like to think of my classes as

‘More than …’.

PREGNANCY YOGA is much more than yoga, we’ll chat about birth preparation, learn breathing techniques, relax and connect.

MUM & BABY CLASSES always include something for you as well as your baby. I teach short mindfulness exercises, we share experiences, different approaches to weaning and recommend other local groups and experts. During mum + baby yoga the babies get to experience a little yoga too.

I hope you enjoy coming to class as much as I enjoy teaching them.

I can’t wait to meet you!
