The Importance of Baby Massage

Congratulations, your little one has arrived.

Maybe you’ve heard about baby massage but are unsure what the benefits are or if it's the right course for you both.

What is baby massage?

Touch is our first language and a way you can start communicating with your baby from birth. Baby massage provides beautiful, calm bonding time, which you’ll both look forward to now, and cherish in the future.

Benefits for your baby:

Massages can help your baby to feel relaxed before bed, therefore helping them to transition from day to night, drift off to sleep and improve their sleep patterns.

During the course, you will learn specific massage strokes to relieve the symptoms of teething, colic and constipation.

You will learn how to read your baby’s subtle cues, helping to understand their non-verbal communication and better understand how to settle and soothe them.

Some of the massage strokes also have songs that go along with them. Singing to your baby has been proven to help with their language development.

“Learning these massage techniques has been really useful to help create a sense of calm before bedtime”. Natalie

Benefits for you:

Motherhood is a rollercoaster, for which nothing can prepare you! I’m passionate about creating communities and my baby massage classes are as much for you as they are for your little one.

Meeting other women who are experiencing a similar (yet unique) path, is really important.

Baby massage classes can help with postnatal depression and feelings of isolation. They help you to relax too, by increasing the levels of relaxing hormones (like oxytocin and prolactin), which in turn decrease stress hormones.

“Baby massage has not only provided me with a wealth of knowledge, relaxing headspace and positive mindset but also a fabulous group of mums and babies who I proudly class as my friends.” Charlotte
